We realised last Friday that house’s cultural staying power would all come down to how quickly it gets old. How much house does it take to make you gouge your ears out? Neither of us had anything on last weekend, so we decided to find out. We agreed to start as soon as we left the office, at 5PM on Friday, and finish at 11AM the following Monday. That’s 66 hours of house, or 506,880 drum beats, relentlessly kicking away at our eardrums.
